# Eventbrite Sync Alerts and Cancelling

> What happens when an event fails to sync to Eventbrite, and how cancelling an event works on Eventbrite.

## When a sync fails

If one of your events can't sync to Eventbrite, we tell you about it. You get **one notification for your whole organisation** that says how many dates failed and why, using Eventbrite's own reason. The same reason shows as a tooltip when you hover the event's Eventbrite badge, so there's no more silent "Failed" badge to puzzle over.

Fix the problem Eventbrite points to, then retry the sync from the event.

You can dismiss notifications one at a time or clear them all at once.

## Cancelling an event

When you cancel an event in Drumtix, we cancel its Eventbrite listing too, so nobody can keep buying tickets there. Once that's done, the badge shows **Cancelled**.

### If the listing already has orders

Eventbrite won't cancel a listing that has orders. In that case we **unlist** it instead, so buyers can't find it or buy more tickets. The badge shows **Unlisted**, and your notification tells you what's left to do:

1. Open the listing on Eventbrite.
2. Cancel it there.
3. Refund the attendees who already bought.

<Note>
  Orders placed on Eventbrite aren't visible in Drumtix, so we can't refund those for you.
