Starting a scan session

  1. Open checkin.drumtix.com
  2. Tap the event you’re working the door for
  3. Tap Scan — your device’s camera activates

Scanning

Hold the camera over the QR code on the buyer’s ticket (printed, email, or wallet pass). The scan result appears immediately:

Valid — checked inTicket is genuine and has just been checked in
Already scannedThis ticket was already scanned in this session
InvalidQR code is not recognised or has been tampered with
The screen shows the buyer’s name and ticket tier for every valid scan so you can verify identity if needed.

After a scan

The scanner resets automatically after each result — you don’t need to tap anything between scans.

If the camera won’t focus

  • Ensure the ticket screen brightness is turned up
  • Ask the buyer to zoom in on the QR code if it’s small
  • Use Manual Check-in as a fallback

Multiple scanners

You can run the check-in app on multiple devices simultaneously. Check-ins sync in real time — an “already scanned” response will correctly trigger on a second device if someone tries to re-use a ticket.
