Ticket transfers let a buyer reassign their ticket to another person before the event. The new holder’s name is updated on the ticket and at the door.

Enabling transfers

Transfers are opt-in per event:
  1. Open your event and go to Event Settings → Visibility
  2. Toggle on Allow ticket transfers
  3. Save

How transfers work for buyers

When transfers are enabled, buyers can initiate a transfer from their order confirmation page. They enter the recipient’s email address, and the recipient receives a new ticket confirmation. The original ticket is invalidated.

Things to know

  • Transfers can only happen before the event starts
  • Each ticket can only be transferred once
  • Refunds apply to the original purchaser; transfers do not affect refund eligibility
  • Door staff see the current valid ticket holder’s name when scanning
